1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using vaeloai.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are registering on behalf of a school or educational institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation.

Access requires explicit consent under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. Consent is recorded with a timestamp (`termsAcceptedAt`) in your account audit trail and may be withdrawn by contacting the school Data Fiduciary or requesting account deletion.

2. Description of Service

vaeloai.in provides a cloud-based school management platform including student records, attendance, timetable management, fee tracking, AI-assisted educational tools, and school communications. AI features are powered by Google Gemini and are restricted to Indian K-12 educational use where configured.

3. School Data Ownership

Schools own their data. vaeloai.in acts as a Data Processor as defined under the DPDP Act, 2023. The school (as Data Fiduciary) retains ownership of student, staff, and financial records uploaded to the platform. We will not use school data to train foundation models without explicit written consent.

4. Subscription & Billing

Subscriptions are billed in Indian Rupees (₹) where payment features are enabled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing cycle. Billing questions: billing@vaeloai.in.

5. Acceptable Use

• Violate any applicable law, including the DPDP Act, 2023.
• Upload malware or attempt denial-of-service attacks.
• Attempt unauthorised access to other tenants' data.
• Misrepresent your authority to register or administer a school.
• Abuse AI features to generate non-educational or harmful content.

6. Service Availability

We target 99.5% monthly uptime. We are not liable for outages caused by third-party infrastructure (including Neon, Cloudflare, Google, or the host), force majeure, or events outside our control.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, aggregate liability for any claim arising from the use of this service shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by the school in the 3 months immediately preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
